Kozminski University and Warsaw School of Economics are the two Polish universities included in the 11th Financial Times ranking of the best business schools in Europe. First place in the ranking went to London Business School.

The Financial Times ranking of business schools combines the performance results of universities in four partial rankings published by the "FT" during the year, including Master of Management, EMBA, and measuring the quality of the teaching staff and the average weighted earnings of graduates.

First place went to London Business School, HEC Paris took the second place, and the third - the Spanish IE Business School. Top listed Polish university - Kozminski University - took 41st place, falling from 37th place in 2013. "The high, 41 position of Kozminski University is certainly a result of held international AASCB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditations" - commented the university spokeswoman Ewa Barlik in a release sent to PAP.

The second Polish university in the ranking is the Warsaw School of Economics. It was ranked 77th in a tie with the Prague Higher School of Economics. Last year it was not included in the ranking.

Among the 80 best schools in the ranking, most - as many as 21 - represent the UK, and 19 - France. Eastern Europe is represented mainly by state universities, best of which is the University of St. Petersburg (61); University of Economics in Prague, Warsaw School of Economics and the Hungarian Corvinus took places from 77 to 79. Among the schools in our part of Europe, Kozminski University is the youngest and the only private school.
