Two Polish universities in the Financial Times ranking
Management at Kozminski University and at Warsaw School of Economics are among the 90 best courses of this type in the Financial Times ranking. The winner is the Swiss University of St. Gallen, followed by two French universities.
The Financial Times ranking Masters in Management 2016 published last Monday includes the worlds top 90 courses in management.
In the 42nd place is the course offered by Kozminski University. The Warsaw college has maintained its last year\'s position in the ranking. In 73rd place is the course at Warsaw School of Economics. The university advanced two places compared to the previous ranking.
The winner of the ranking released last Monday is the Swiss University of St. Gallen. Two following places went to French universities: HEC Paris and Essec Business School. Despite its global nature, universities in Europe dominate in the ranking. American business schools are not included - The US equivalent of master\'s studies in management are full-time MBA courses, which in Europe are usually postgraduate courses.
"The Financial Times ranking published today reflects the career development and professional advancement of graduates. It is also an important reading for the international community of university candidates" - Kozminski University spokeswoman Ewa Barlik noted in the release sent to PAP.
According to the Financial Times, graduates of college included in the ranking do not have any problems finding jobs. Most of them can choose from among several job offers, which is why more than 90 percent of them are employed three months after graduation. Universities in the top of the ranking create a unique collaborative environment. Past graduates who hold managerial positions are willing to hire younger colleagues from their alma mater. They prefer people with a similar level of knowledge and values.
Rector of Kozminski University Prof. Witold Bielecki agrees with most of the conclusions of the authors of the ranking. "Our graduates do not have problems with finding jobs" - he said. "Most of them have good salaries, which we note when monitoring their careers. They have a support of a network of over 12 thousand active graduates who maintain contact with the university. We also offer organizational and financial support for start-ups, called Grow Point" - added the rector of Kozminski University.
