A device that monitors selected emotions, such as fear and the level of relaxation and stress with 99% accuracy has been developed for the European Space Agency (ESA) by Polish companies. It may be useful to astronauts, but also to uniformed services and sportsmen.
The colour of the cloudless sky can correspond to low tones, strawberries to high tones, and snow can sound like the sea. Colorophone, a device that turns a colour into a specific sound, is designed to work with glasses that a blind person would wear, for example during a walk.
Polish scientists and engineers are working on devices that will study the moons of Jupiter during the JUICE mission of the European Space Agency (ESA). "This is proof that Polish science and economy can do more than just conquer European markets" - commented Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.
Five inventions developed at the Department of Microelectronics and Computer Science, Lodz University of Technology were awarded medals in December at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2018 in South Korea. A system for classifying user`s emotions in video game dialogue scenes, based on the player`s eyesight analysis, has been developed by scientists from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, Lodz University of Technology. They use Eye-Tracker that allows to control the computer with the user`s eyes.
