Poznań University of Economics students won EY Financial Challenger

Four person team "WWZZ" of students from Poznań University of Economics won the 11th edition of the EY Financial Challenger. Following places went to students of Warsaw School of Economics and Cracow University of Economics.

The competition was attended by students interested in finance, in particular business valuation and processes of mergers and acquisitions. They faced the real challenges that EY\'s experts deal with every day.

The winning team members were: Paulina Waksman, Maciej Zajac, Marcin Zawada and Filip Wałek. They are all fifth year students at Poznań University of Economics, majoring in finance and accounting, specializing in equity investments and financial strategies of enterprises.

"EY Financial Challenger is a competition in which above all we could test ourselves as a team. Working under time pressure, meetings with company representatives - all tasks required efficient teamwork and good communication. Each stage requires a huge commitment and expanding knowledge, as well as skilful use of it in practice. The competition is also a great adventure and an opportunity to meet great people who share our passion" - said Paulina Waksman from the winning team"WWZZ".

The prize for winning first place was a check for 30 thousand zlotys, paid internships in Transaction Advisory Services Department EY, training vouchers and prizes.

In second place was the team "C.O.B. Another Day Another Hustle" composed of Piotr Pierszała, Michał Przybylski, Piotr Raciborski and Michał Iwanowicz from Warsaw School of Economics. Third place was taken by: Mateusz Czerepak, Sebastian Valdes-Niemiec, Piotr Bukański and Mateusz Furmanik, forming the team "Marubozu" from the Cracow University of Economics.

The 12th edition of the EY Financial Challenger will take place in the autumn 2015.
