7th meeting of young scientists in Krakow

Nearly 150 Polish and foreign young scientists will meet during the Kraków’s 7th Conference of Young Scientists. On 27 - 29 September they will present research projects and discuss the results of their work.

The conference held at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków is organized by Scientific Group Pro Futuro. One of the media patrons of the of the event is PAP - Science and Scholarship in Poland.

Kraków’s Conference of Young Scientists is one of the oldest events of its kind organized in Poland. This year it will be attended by approximately 150 participants. Their number is growing every year, and an increasing percentage are young scientists from other countries.

Young scientists represent universities including Warsaw School of Economics, Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Wrocław University of Technology, University of Silesia, the Polish Academy of Sciences Institutes, Mendel University in Brno, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, University of Debrecen, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

The meeting in Kraków is interdisciplinary, sessions are run in parallel in five thematic groups: Innovative Technologies, Modern Engineering, Economical Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Social and Humanistic Sciences.

Participants of this year\'s conference will also discuss the situation, constraints and opportunities of scientists standing on the verge of their careers. "We hope that invited guests with their example inspire conference attendees to participate in scholarship programs and achieve market success through commercialisation of practical results of their scientific work" - says President of Scientific Group Pro Futuro Katarzyna Gdowska.

The Kraków’s 7th Conference of Young Scientists program also includes a wide range of practical workshops, during which participants can perfect their skills.

Traditionally, the conference will begin with a plenary session, where participants will have the opportunity to learn from the masters. Lectures in the plenary session will be presented by: Prof. Grzegorz Biliński, Prof. Maciej Pawlikowski and Prof. Stefan Taczanowski.
