Super-fast and extremely powerful lasers manufactured by a Polish company are used for cutting diamonds, watching chemical reactions, and for eye correction surgery. These lasers use the solutions awarded this year`s Nobel Prize in physics.
PKN Orlen in cooperation with the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute carried out an attempt to process crude oil fraction with vegetable oils. The aim of the project is to develop innovative technology and obtain high quality biofuels as a component of diesel oil, the company informs.
Researchers from the Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw have printed a 3D copy of the oldest skeleton found in Poland - more than 6,500 years old - known as the Man of Janisławice. The copy will be displayed at a special exhibition, and the original will be used for scientific research.
