Solar eclipse (20.03.2015)

For more than two hours on 20 March 2015 in Poland we could observe a partial solar eclipse. Moon covered about 60 percent of the sun’s disk, and in the north-western part of the country even 76 percent. The eclipse was visible as a partial in Poland, but there were places in the world where it was seen as a total eclipse. The total eclipse path ran through the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean, starting near Greenland, going by the Faroe Islands, Spitsbergen and reaching the North Pole area.
