We have money for inventors, originators of innovative projects, so that they can carry out their undertakings, told PAP Deputy Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz. The pilot project "Dobry pomysł" ("Good idea") will be launched for their benefit. Emilewicz added that the budget of the program is PLN 2 million.

"+Dobry pomysł+ is a project addressed to people who have interesting business ideas, interesting inventions, patents, and do not know what to do about it. Many people of all ages approach both Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and many ministers, saying +We have something that can revolutionize transport or health care+, but they do not know which funds they can use and where to get them from" - Deputy Minister of Development said in an interview with PAP.

As she added, they were not business owners. "They are not beneficiaries of the National Centre for Research and Development programs. Until now we did not have the right place, the right window for them" - she explained.

Hence the project +Dobry pomysł+ prepared by the Ministry of Development and the Polish Development Fund, which is designed to give these persons support for a start. Firstly, an evaluation whether the idea really is good, or if something similar already exists in the world.

Emilewicz explained that in the case of project that actually show market potential, experts will provide substantive and organizational support to write a preliminary business plan for such an undertaking. They will help start a business if required, or they will help connect - there are funds and competencies for that as well - with potential business partners.

Finally, they will show from which European funds program such a team can benefit to develop their project. "They will refer the project to the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development or to the National Centre for Research and Development, where they will be informed of specific programs and funds for writing a proposal" - explained Deputy Minister Emilewicz.

Call for proposals starts on October 18. Program operator will be the Polish Development Fund in cooperation with the Advanced Technology Foundation, INVESTIN, Foundation Innovation Centre FIRE. Information concerning the program will be available on the Polish Development Fund website.

Project evaluation specialists will be recruited externally. "The program is based on a flexible model. Depending on the project, topic, needs, we will recruit specialists from universities, the business sector, consulting companies" - said Emilewicz.

"Dobry pomysł" will have a budget of PLN 2 million. (PAP)
