Waste processing technology is the best ecological solution in Poland

The Bioelektra Group\'s waste processing technology won the Energy Globe national competition and advanced to the international finals. The jury found it to be the best environmental solution from Poland.

The goal of the Energy Globe Award is to raise awareness of environmental issues and show that everyone can make a positive contribution to environmental protection. The competition awards projects that "conserve and protect our resources or that employ renewable energy".

The waste treatment method developed in Poland is based on the autoclaving technology, i.e. heat treatment of waste by means of steam under pressure. RotoSTERIL technology allows to process biodegradable waste into building materials, among other things. It has been used for several years in the Bioelektra Group\'s municipal waste processing plant in Różanki, Warmia-Mazury.

"Our waste treatment technology helps to protect the environment. It serves the earth, and its use is economically justified" - said Bioelektra Group CEO Jarosław Drozd, quoted in the press release. "Our victories in international competitions confirm our determination and conviction that this solution should be used on a broader scale in Poland and in the world".

This is not the first distinction awarded to the Polish company. In January, Bioelektra Group was among the winners of the 3rd edition of the "The Circulars" competition organized by the World Economic Forum and the Young Leaders Forum. The company was awarded in the category "The Dell Circular Economy People\'s Choice Award" in and online vote.

The Energy Globe Award was founded in 1999 by the Austrian engineer and ecologist Wolfgang Neumann. It is one of today’s most prestigious awards for innovative environmental solutions. Winners are selected in two stages. In the national stage, the jury selects the best project in each participating country - these projects then compete in the international finals.

Companies and organizations from around the world have submitted a total of 2,000. projects for this year\'s edition of the competition. World winners will be selected from among the 178 national winners. Awards will be granted in 6 categories: Water, Air, Earth, Fire, Youth and Sustainable Plastics. Bioelektra Group will represent Poland in the Earth category.
