Dr. Piotr Dardziński appointed Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science

Piotr Dardziński, doctor of political science associated with the Jagiellonian University, is the new Undersecretary of State appointed by Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin - announced the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

"In the Ministry of Science he will be responsible for innovation and cooperation between science and business" - the Ministry of Science reported.

Piotr Dardziński was born on 6 October 1972. In 2002, he completed his doctoral studies at the Jagiellonian University Institute of Political Science and International Relations, in the Department of History of Political and Legal Doctrines. He also studied at the University of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg, Institute of International Relations. He was a fellow of the University of Freiburg in Switzerland.

From 1998 he lectured at the Jagiellonian University. He taught, among others, the economic policy, economic doctrines and Polish economic thought. In 2000-2005 he was an assistant in the Department of History of Political and Legal Doctrines of the Jagiellonian University. From 2005 he was an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy of Politics. In 2003-2005 he taught at the Tischner European University.

In the years 1995-2006 he was associated with the Foundation "Tertio Millennio Institute" - initially as director of the office, then vice president. From 2006 he was director of the Centre for Thought of John Paul II in Warsaw. In November 2011 he became the head of Jarosław Gowin’s Political Office at the Ministry of Justice.

He was editor-in-chief of the extra "AZYMUT" of the weekly "Gość Niedzielny", devoted to the important social, economic and religious issues of modern society. He authored many books and articles on topics including political and economic doctrines, entrepreneurship.
