The world`s first bionic pancreas with blood vessels has been 3D printed by researchers from the Foundation for Research and Science Development led by Dr. Michał Wszoła. In April, the researchers plan to implant printed pancreatic petals in mice.
During the press conference at the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology in Warsaw, representatives of the institute spoke about the commercialisation potential of "Polish graphene". "We are a leading Polish organisation that specializes in graphene production techniques" said ITME director Dr. Zbigniew Matyjas.
The Industrial Development Agency granted a PLN 14.72 million loan to the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. This money will allow to develop technology based on gallium nitride, which is the basis for further development of Industry 4.0 - electromobility and e-mobility.
Bionic hand prosthesis, double piston actuator and new optical measurement technique - these are some of the Polish inventions awarded at the iENA trade fair in Nuremberg. One of the largest European inventions exhibitions took place on 1-4 November. Polish inventors won 4 gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze medals.
